Burnout
Anyone can be affected by burnout—whether it's in nursing, in a leadership role, or as an overwhelmed family man. It's important to recognize the symptoms early and act quickly to prevent them from becoming chronic. Some symptoms include a lack of energy and motivation, sleep disturbances accompanied by daytime fatigue, reduced attention and concentration, and aggressiveness. If you notice these symptoms in yourself, your employees, relatives, or friends, don't hesitate to seek help! We know that stress originates in the mind, but relaxation does as well. I will help you learn how to relax.
Career, fatherhood, partnership, family
Only one third of fathers are satisfied with the time they spend with their children. Eighty percent view the impact of their career on fatherhood as negative, and conversely, having children is seen as having a detrimental influence on their career. In every family, the partnership changes after the birth of children. Fatherhood is now undergoing a shift in values and actions. I help you find and optimize your way forward.
Male sexuality (also in old age)
There are many common myths about male sexuality: that men need a lot of sex, can always perform, and don't need to feel anything—these are just the best-known ones. Only a few men have learned to talk about disappointments, insecurities, and questions. I help you learn to do so in order to change the ingrained loneliness and emotional deprivation.
Intercultural partnerships
Intercultural marriages and partnerships are no longer uncommon in times of globalization. Both partners often feel that their own culturally rooted habits are being threatened, which can lead to significant conflicts. There are two ways to address these issues: the differences in value systems can be worked through cognitively, while any potential hurt feelings should be processed on an emotional level. Having been at home in various cultural spheres and speaking six languages (German, Hungarian, Swiss German, English, Spanish, Romanian) I offer you empathetic and transculturally oriented conversations.
Large age differences in partnerships
According to statistics, a large age difference is associated with a high risk of separation. The relationship is increasingly endangered the greater the age gap between the partners. Nevertheless, relationships involving a younger woman and an older man are not uncommon. And especially partnerships between a younger man and an older woman are really booming. Most of the time, love prevails rather than financial benefits. If you are affected, please contact me—I can advise you (and, if necessary, your partner) on how best to deal with the age difference.
Porn consumption
With the advent of the internet, pornography has become ubiquitous. Although women also consume porn, this "domain" predominantly belongs to the world of men. What happens to relationships, professional life, and value systems when men have an affair with the internet? Are you spending your free time masturbating while watching increasingly intense sex scenes? Does your hobby harm your relationship? Or does it even violate ethical and moral values? An open conversation helps more than feelings of guilt.
Behavioral addictions in men
Workaholism, binge eating disorder, sports addiction, etc
Coming-out
Don't wait too long if you notice symptoms; one phone call is enough, and even the first appointments can bring about improvement.
Men with pain
Women and men seem to have different pain sensitivities due to both biological and sociocultural factors. Men are significantly less affected by all kinds of pain (migraine, muscle pain, abdominal pain, etc.). They appear to have a higher threshold for painful stimuli, meaning that minor pains are perceived less because the "pain sensors" in men are supposedly less sensitive. Additionally, age, social, and psychological factors play an important role. If you're experiencing pain somewhere, seek help in a timely manner before it becomes chronic.
Mental fitness (even in old age)
Modern life often presents a challenge when it comes to maintaining attention and concentration. Sleep problems significantly impact performance since people suffering from poor sleep battle fatigue during the day, resulting in reduced efficiency and concentration difficulties. We offer treatment with the Brainwave Trainer, an audiovisual stimulation method that directly influences brain function. The Brainwave Trainer device features specialized programs and frequencies that gently stimulate various regions of the brain, enhancing performance through relaxation and mental balance.
Stress-related complaints
Stress is not inherently negative, but excessive stress over an extended period can lead to stress-related disorders. Professional and personal overwhelm, as well as unhealthy lifestyle habits (poor diet, smoking, alcohol consumption), can cause stress levels to rise. This may result in emotional issues such as burnout, inner restlessness, anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. Physically, it can lead to stomach pains, headaches, back pain, overweight, diabetes, and cardiovascular problems. I offer you comprehensive diagnostics and counseling, Optimizing nutrition and, if necessary, administering dietary supplements. This is accompanied by coaching sessions that help to assess the situation and identify potentially triggering factors.
Midlife crisis in men
The meaning crisis that men face in midlife does not manifest uniformly. Fear of the future, change, and death often shapes the experience. The crisis is frequently accompanied by anger, depression, and declining performance. Physical symptoms such as overweight, pain, and increased alcohol consumption are not uncommon. How do I know if I'm caught in a meaning crisis? How do I get out of it? How long does a midlife crisis last? If these questions concern you, please get in touch—I can help you navigate this challenging phase.
Men and Heartbreak
The assumption that heartbreak is a "women's thing" is now outdated. Men suffer just as long as women when love fails and the heart breaks. Typical signs and symptoms of heartbreak in men include a depressed mood, lack of desire, disorientation, low motivation, social withdrawal, sleep problems, and increased alcohol consumption. There are effective tips to overcome heartache, and I work with these. Additionally, I help you understand and put these events into perspective—an important step in the healing process.
Men and Grief
How do men cope with farewells, loss, and grief, and what support do they need? Feelings of disorientation, pain, helplessness, fear, anger, and guilt are common among grieving men. Additionally, fear of losing control often leads to repression and a prolonged grieving process. In such situations, opening up for supportive conversations can be challenging for men. Embrace your feelings—with professional help, you can learn to let go more quickly and recover mentally, emotionally, and physically after a loss.
